Young Belgian Talent ('YBT')

In the annual Partner meeting of the Bayard Partnership, January 2010, the Partners unanimously agreed to set up a long term program to identify and support Young Belgian Talent that, without additional external support, would find them-selves disadvantaged to reach their ambitions and goals.

 

The criterion of talent has been defined by the Partners as:

 

‘Demonstrable exceptional talent and determination in the field of the performing arts, most especially classical virtuoso performers of   The Pianoforte, Violin or Violin-Cello’


Every three years a new candidate will be selected by a professional review board comprising  of the previous ‘YBT’ candidate and representatives from the music academic world, professional music industry, the world of business and leadership and other parties as appropriate.


The selected candidate will be supported by The Bayard Partnership’s special bursary scheme which includes financial support (currently ten thousand EUR, spread over three years), coupled with business, financial, Public Relations and legal and contractual advice.  In addition The Bayard Partnership offer hands on, practical support in the areas of PR, marketing and self-promotion, such as, the building of a professional  website, organizing at least one concert per year, motivational coaching support and networking events and activities with exposure to the press and other additional potential sponsors.


For the period:  January 2010 to end December 2012 the Bayard Partnership’s ‘ YBT’ prodigy is Aveline Gram, concert pianist.  More about Aveline here.
